Day 5: Newport Storm's Hurricane Amber Ale

If it hadn't been crooked, this would be my favourite label so far. I know, I'm fussy. That's why I'm reviewing beer.

I really don't know what to say about this one. It was okay. I enjoyed it. No fireworks. It wasn't particularly bitter, but the hops came through more than anything else.

I used to be a skeptic about booze/food pairings until I went to a wine pairing event. Turned me into a believer. This beer, on its own, elicited a great big "meh". But then I thought about the whole pairing thing. This bottle was absolutely crying out for some seafood. Lobster, crab, scallops. Lots of butter. More of this beer. That, I think is the way to go here.

Three tankards, providing by above culinary fantasizing is part of the deal.

(And yes, I know this one is published out of order. I'm blaming the internet, and so should you.)
